Oilless Bushes
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GUN METAL AND GRAPHITE FILLED BRONZE :
• Oilless bushings does not require any extra lubrication whereas Gun metal bushings will require Oil grooves & oil holes for providing extra lubrication.
• Base material of Oilless is much stronger then Gun metal Bushes. Load carrying capacity of Oilless bushings are much much better than normal Gun metal bushings.
• Life expectancy of Oilless bushings are almost 5 times than normal Gun metal bushings.
• Graphite Filled Bronze bushes are always supplied in finished condition with close dimensional tolerances, as after plugging Graphite, the machining is not possible.
• Cost factor of these bushes depends on the consumption and final dimensions.
• Graphite filled bronze bushes are basically used for Sliding and high load application.
• Not possible to machine / Ream Oilless bushings whereas machining is possible in gun metal bushings.
• Min Diameter 8 mm required for Oilless bushings.
